Good choice of goodies for breakfast. Absolutely fantastic rooms with garden, satisfactory breakfast. Location near bars in Melville, and the garden. Also, away from all the main tourist attractions.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The location was perfect, situated in a vibrant and buzzing neighborhood with plenty of nice restaurants in the area. The room itself was stunning, with a well-chosen decor and everything felt fresh and new. The bed was comfortable, allowing me to have a good night's rest. I also appreciated the well-stocked mini bar fridge and the complimentary snacks provided. this place exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and quality service.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable stay.

An excellent value designer boutique hotel in Melville. I loved the design of the rooms and the glass and concrete bathroom looking out to a small private courtyard. Nice big comfortable beds with thick fluffy duvets and pillows. Wooden floors and little touches like DSTV, pencils & rulers, free WiFi room safe and mini bar & wine in the room. Breakfast was pleasent with fresh cooked boiled eggs, pastries, toast & cerials with plunger coffee.
THe hotel is lovely but: The area isnt great but everything is an easy drive. Other guests were noisy disturbing my sleep in the night and also early in the morning. Seemed to be a lot of dragging/banging on wodden floors. Could do with a curtain/blind to the bathroom to block out more light from the bedroom.

Located the quite and eclectic suburb of Melville, MMPC is a total delight for a city stay or as a home base for a longer vacation. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing (which can happen in a small guest house). The space itself if beautifully designed, bright and airy, with luxuriously appointed rooms. The location is totally secure and there is usually a friendly security guard at the front door happy to walk you to a near by bar or restaurant and walk you back if needed. The staff is happy to make additional transportation arrangements for you if needed. This is a wonderful guest house. Looking forward to returning soon.
Safety is a concern when traveling ANYWHERE in the world, you are in unfamiliar territory and there are always going to be individuals that will want to target tourists. That said, some neighborhoods are more dangerous than others, I am not an expert on Joberg but Melville seems safer than many. Mi Pi Chi will offer to send someone with you when you walk to destination in Melville, do take them up on it if you do not know exactly where you are going. Not really a negative on the MMPC but something visitors should be aware of, do not let others dissuade you from staying somewhere other than Sandton.

The rooms were well-equipped as for me, with 3 single beds in 2 bedrooms. The location was nice, just a short walk away from a prominent reserve.
Was all great.

Everything was very good, had a very peaceful stay for winter time. All the staffs were genuinely helpful and very efficient. I had the king room, it was nicely decorated and stylish. Excellent location of the hotel in Johannesburg's Melville neighborhood. I tried some drinks at bar Hell's Kitchen, located 10 minutes walk away...

The room we stayed in at Motel Mi Pi Chi was enormous, more like an apartment, and offered great value for money. The design of the rooms was stylish and we appreciated the complimentary snacks. The security guard, Tyson, was absolutely phenomenal - he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and provided exceptional customer service.

This hotel is situated in a prime location, with easy access to a mini garden. Close proximity to many great restaurants in the area, which is perfect when you need to grab a quick bite. This hotel is great for people traveling to the airport or visiting the city to relax. With the charming view outside your room, your night is made.
The hotel's breakfast selection wasn't very appetizing, and I found myself having to find other breakfast spots in the area.

Everything about the stay could not have been better. The service was second to none, the place was well-designed from to to bottom, and you can't beat it for the money. Utterly happy- this is how a hotel should be run.

The room was clean and the WIFI was free (when it was working). The staff is very friendly and the place has its own charm, if one prefers a guest house / (upmarket) youth hostel kind of feeling.
Gate motor was very loud and can disturb during the night or early morning. Privacy is a bit limited since the door leads directly to the lounge / breakfast area and is not very sound proof. The bathroom is very bare and small. Unfortunately there is no hair dryer available in the room and limited space for clothes. The minibar prices were only available on request.
